In 2018 STIB/MIVB, the tramway operator in the Belgian capital, awarded a contract for 90 Tram New Generation low-floor trams to Alstom, with the option for 85 more. If fulfilled the total contract value would be EUR 480M. Delivery of 79 32m trams started last year and 40 have already been delivered. Now the first of 11 42m trams has arrived from the Wien (Vienna) factory and should enter service in the coming months. 4201 is a seven-section tram accommodating 255 passengers (65 seated). Delivery from Wien to Bruxelles/Brussel was by road trailer.
