In December 2022 HTM, the tramway operator in the Dutch city of Den Haag (The Hague) signed a contract with Stadler Group for the purchase of 56 Tina 100% low-floor trams (with an option for a further 44). The base order was subsequently extended to 62. The first Stadler Tina tram, 7001, built in Sroda Wielkopolska, Poland, was delivered by road to Zichtenburg depot late on 8 August. Four more are expected this year and will be tested before further deliveries take place in 2026. The trams carry the R-NET red and white livery of Metropoolregio Rotterdam Den Haag. They will replace the remaining eight-axle BN GTL trams dating from 1992/93 and allow for expansion of the network.
The double-ended trams are 36.5m long and 2.65m wide with accommodation for up to 230 passengers (68 seated). They feature suspended articulations and swivelling bogies, Stadler has built Tina trams for Darmstadt, Halle and Rostock in Germany and Basel in Switzerland.
