The completion of the original 16.4km line T1 of the Luxembourg tramway came a step closer on 10 December, when the final 3.9km from Luxexpo to Airport de Fidel was tested for the first time, using CAF tram 130. The first passengers should be able to travel to and from the airport by tram on 2 March. There are now 24 tram stops. 
 
The first section of line was approved in June 2014 and opened in December 2017. there are 33 CAF Urbos 3 double-ended trams, operating 04.30-00.35 Monday-Friday, until 24.00 on Saturdays and from 05.15 on Sundays, offering a tram every four minutes for most of the day. Over 20M passengers/year are carried. Public transport is free in Luxembourg.
