Connecting Stockholm, the joint venture between Go-Ahead (55%) and ComfortDelGro (45%), has been awarded a temporary contract to operate the three-line 106km Stockholm metro (Tunnelbana) for two years from November 2025 while legal challenges to its original successful bid for an 11-year contract are resolved. The current contract is held by MTR and was due to expire at the end of 2024, but can be extended by several months. The 11-year contract was awarded in January 2024, to start in January 2025, but although a challenge by unsuccessful bidder Keolis has been rejected by the courts, the award is now subject to an appeal.

The Stockholm T-bana carries nearly 500M passengers/year and is the only metro in Sweden. It opened on 1 October 1950 with the first line line partly taking over from a segregated tramway. 47 of its 100 stations are underground, with 53 above ground. Expansion is still in progress.
