KeolisAmey Docklands is the operator and maintainer of London’s Docklands Light Railway, holding the franchise since 2014 and now extended under a new eight-year contract through to 2033. The joint venture continues to work closely with Transport for London to deliver high reliability, cleaner stations, improved accessibility, and faster journeys, while introducing 54 new trains to support future network growth. 
Since joining in 2023, she has driven record customer satisfaction improvements and led a major cultural shift, embedding a truly customer centric mindset across the organisation. 
 
With a career spanning retail, transport, and financial services, Samantha brings a distinctive cross industry perspective that fuels fresh thinking and people centred leadership. Mosdorfer Rob Renshaw 

Mosdorfer is a trusted global supplier of high‑performance fittings and components for rail and energy infrastructure. Their engineering expertise, durability standards, and focus on long‑term reliability support operators and suppliers in building safer, more resilient overhead line and electrification systems. 
A leading supplier of high-quality components and systems for the overhead line electrification of railways. Rob is responsible for managing Commercial Sales activities across key European markets including the UK & Ireland, Nordics and Netherlands, helping customers find tailored solutions for catenary systems, tensioning devices and other rail electrification products. 
 
Prior to his role with Mosdorfer Rail, Rob developed his expertise through extensive experience within both the railway signalling and electrification sectors. Based in Sheffield, UK, he works closely with operators, contractors and engineering teams to support the adoption of innovative electrification technologies; emphasising reliability, performance, and customer service. 
 
Rob’s educational background includes a postgraduate MBA from Sheffield Hallam University, supporting his strong foundation in Commercial Strategy and Technical Sales.

3B Logos creates clear, modern visual identities for the rail and transport sector. Their designs prioritise accessibility, safety‑critical clarity, and consistency across stations, rolling stock, digital platforms, and operational environments helping operators and suppliers present a professional, trusted brand. 
 
3B Logos develops specialised software solutions for infrastructure management and planning, with a strong focus on light rail operators. The company supports operators in managing complex infrastructure assets, improving planning accuracy, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the lifecycle of rail networks. Prior to his current role, Leonard held senior commercial positions and worked as a risk advisor, gaining extensive experience in corporate management, process optimisation, and market strategy. Alongside his role at 3B Logos, he brings broad cross-industry experience from various positions in the business sector. 

Turin LRT Roberto Cambursano 

Turin LRT provides fast, reliable, and sustainable urban mobility across the Turin metropolitan area. With a focus on modern operations, passenger accessibility, and integrated transport planning, the system supports the city’s shift toward cleaner, more efficient public transport. 
Between 1981-2016, he worked for the Gruppo Torinese Trasporti (GTT) in his hometown, holding various executive positions including Head of Tram Operations and Commercial Director; and has been a member of technical committees in national and international (UITP) organisations. 
 
Always passionate about tramways, he founded the Associazione Torinese Tram Storici (ATTS), of which he is has been president since 2005. Since retiring, he has devoted himself to historical research in the field of public transport, writing books, articles and presentations. 

Metrotenerife Teresa Benet 

Metropolitano de Tenerife (Metrotenerife) is a public company established in 2001 and wholly owned by the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife. Originally created to deliver a rail-based public transport system for the island, Metrotenerife now also provides consultancy and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services within the rail sector. 
 
Metrotenerife is an active member of international transport bodies including UITP, serving on the Light Rail Committee, and represents Spain on the Light Metro Committee. It is also a member of ALAMYS and ATUC. 
Previous to joining Metrotenerife, she worked for various government and multilateral organisations, being assigned to different markets such as Panama, Canada, Belgium or Malaysia, among others. 
 
In 2016, Teresa joined Metrotenerife as Head of International Projects, where she is responsible for designing and executing the international development strategy of the firm. During the last few years, Metrotenerife has developed projects in over 13 countries, becoming a reference for the light rail industry. She also participated in the compan's entry into the financial markets with the issuance of green bonds to finance railway projects. 
She holds an MSc. in Business Administration and a Masters in International Management. She has also conducted numerous workshops and lessons for public organisations and universities. 

Getzner Werkstoffe Juan Manuel Herrera Traybel 

As railway lines and urban developments move closer together, managing vibration and structure-borne noise is critical to the sustainable expansion and reactivation of rail networks. With over five years at the company, he works closely with projects from the first design concepts through to on-site implementation, supporting the selection and application of under-ballast mats, floating slab systems, and resilient track components for metro and light rail projects. 

Mott MacDonald Martjin Donders 

With over 100 years of rail experience, we support projects across the full lifecycle and all rail modes, including high-speed, metro, heavy haul and light rail.

Holding a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Martijn has built a strong track record in light rail and has led projects in heavy rail, metro, and LRT across multiple countries. Martijn joined Mott MacDonald in 2002 and has served as the Practice Leader for Light Rail Transit (LRT) in Europe and Africa since 2015. He notably delivered the Uithoflijn light rail project in Utrecht, acting as Project Director on behalf of the client in its final years. The 9km design build line includes nine stops, a major Park+Ride, a stabling yard, a multi-modal hub at Utrecht Central Station, and 27 new vehicles. 

Metro Malaga Fernando Lozano 

Metro de Málaga, concessionaire for the Andalusian Government was created in 2004 for the drafting, implementation and construction of lines 1 and 2 of the Málaga underground railway, as well as for future commercial operations. The official opening of part of the Málaga Metro was in July 2014. The current operational sections are from the Palacio de los Deportes station to El Perchel, and from El Perchel to Andalucía Tech, which represents a total of 17 stations situated along approximately 12 kilometers of track. The layout design of lines 1 and 2 of the Málaga Metro take the form of an X and has been created with the objective of enabling more than 200,000 residents, who are all potential users, to be within 500 meters of a station. 

Gothenburg LRT Mimmi Mickelson 

Gothenburg LRT operates one of Scandinavia’s largest and most established tram networks, delivering reliable, high‑capacity urban mobility across the Gothenburg region. With a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and seamless multimodal integration, the system supports the city’s long‑term shift toward cleaner, more efficient public transport. 

Metro de Sevilla Miriam Dominguez-Adame 

Metro de Sevilla operates a modern, high‑capacity urban rail system designed to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable mobility across the Seville metropolitan area. With a focus on passenger experience, operational efficiency, and integrated transport planning, the network supports the region’s growth while promoting cleaner, smarter urban travel. 
She has international experience, including key roles at London Underground, and has also held operational leadership positions in a large multi-national logistics company. 
 
In her current role, Miriam manages dynamic railway operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. She leads teams, optimises processes, and aligns daily operations with long-term organisational objectives. Her ability to adapt under pressure and implement best practices across projects contributes to maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence. 
 
At the 2026 European Light Rail Congress, Miriam will present 'Innovating for a Better Journey: Successful Initiatives and Future Improvements at Metro de Sevilla', highlighting both successful initiatives already implemented and future projects aimed at enhancing the passenger experience through digitalisation and innovation. 

Ramboll Nils Janig 

Ramboll is a leading engineering, design, and consultancy partner to the rail and transport sector. They deliver sustainable, future‑ready solutions across infrastructure, stations, digital systems, and major programmes helping operators and suppliers improve performance, resilience, and passenger experience. 
He has covered areas including rolling stock, operations, light rail systems and technology, EMC and LRT infrastructure. He is familiar with German laws and standards, BOStrab and VDV. 
 
Between 2014-16, Nils worked on the LRT Ring 3 project (PPP/DBOM) in Copenhagen as overall Deputy Project Leader. Between 2017-23, he headed all Israel LRT projects in Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and Haifa-Nazareth (PPP/DBOM). Since 2020, Nils has been leading the largest German new LRT scheme in Kiel. In thr past few years, Nils has also been involved in several LRT rolling stock projects, the biggest being Bergen, Norway (2024). 
Currently Nils is Director of the Global Rail Division and is responsible for operational line light rail and metro. 
Since 2015, Nils has been a guest member in the VDV sub-committee UA 4 light rail vehicles, and is co-author of the VDV guidelines. 

Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos Jean-Robert Laarhoven 

Amurrio Ferrocarril y Equipos is an international leader in the design, manufacture and maintenance of railway turnouts, crossings and switch systems for high-speed, conventional rail, metro, tramway and heavy haul networks. The company delivers both large-scale projects and highly specialised bespoke solutions, with a strong focus on quality, reliability and continuous improvement driven by customer needs. 
He has a degree in mechanical engineering from HAN University in The Netherlands, and more than 20 years of experience in the railway sector. He’s been a member of the Board of Directors of Mafex (Spanish Railway Association) since 2010. 

Microsim Mark van Bekkum 

Microsim provides advanced simulation and modelling solutions that support planning, training, and operational decision‑making across the rail sector. Their technology helps operators and suppliers test scenarios, optimise performance, and enhance safety in a controlled, data‑driven environment.. 

BarChip Peter Schaul 

BarChip is a global leader in synthetic fibre reinforcement, providing high‑performance polymer fibres that replace traditional steel reinforcement in concrete. Their solutions deliver improved durability, reduced maintenance, faster installation and significant whole‑life cost savings across rail, tunnelling, civil engineering and industrial applications. He specialises in synthetic fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC), combining structural design, research, laboratory testing and advanced finite element analysis (FEA) to deliver efficient and durable solutions. Peter is a licensed structural engineer, and a member of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers and fib. He has contributed to numerous high-profile railway, infrastructure and industrial projects across Europe and the Middle East. His work is supported by extensive hands-on experience and a strong record of international technical publications in concrete engineering. 

Pandrol Juan Lozcano 

Our product range includes specialist fastening systems, grooved rail welding solutions, embedded rail, under slab pads and mats using sustainable technology and automated trolleybus current collector systems. With a range of fastening and non-fastening solutions to suit both ballasted and non-ballasted track forms we are uniquely able to cover a full range of solutions for a given tram system. We have developed resilient track solutions to improve the life cycle of track components, reduce maintenance costs and to control vibrations for both slab and ballasted tracks. Juan is focused on fastenings and SRS product lines being part of a business unit group which specialises in engineered solutions that provide resilience to the track to reduce maintenance, control vibration, and increase the lifetime of the track. 
 
Juan holds a Masters in International Business Administration, as well as International Relations and Trade. He has 15 years' background in international business development in the transport, construction and energy sectors, having lived and worked in India, Middle East, South America and Europe. 
 
Focused on the railway sector over the last seven years, he has gained vast experience in the railway market, engaging with key railway networks around the world to solve their problems. 

Octave Julio Lerena Fernández 

Octave's Sales Manager for Spain, Julio Lerena Fernández has over 25 years of experience in the sales, development, and implementation of Geographic Information Solutions. 

UK Tram Tim Bilby 

UKTram represents the light rail sector. It acts as the collective voice of tram and light rail systems, bringing together operators, authorities, manufacturers, suppliers and consultants to promote the industry and its interests. Advocates for policy and investment. It acts as the collective voice of tram and light rail systems, bringing together operators, authorities, manufacturers, suppliers and consultants to promote the industry and its interests. UKTram engages with government departments and policymakers to influence transport strategy, funding and regulation in favour of sustainable, integrated light rail development. 
During that time, he led the team delivering the successful implementation of the UK’s first Tram-Train project, navigated the challenges of COVID-19 and delivered the first 100% customer satisfaction survey result, undertaken independently by Transport Focus. 
 
As a qualified accountant, he started his career in the electricity industry and in railfreight, then worked with prisoner transportation services, where he learned valuable lessons about people and behaviours. Recently managing level crossing safety with Network Rail, he returned to light rail in 2026 with UKTram and is excited to promote and explore innovation. 

ATM Barcelona Eduard Cabrera 

The Metropolitan Transport Authority (Autoritat del Transport Metropolità, ATM) is a public consortium intended to coordinate the operation and project the expansion of the public transport system in the Barcelona metropolitan area. It is made up of the government of Catalonia and local administrations. It has been known as ATM Àrea de Barcelona since 2003 to differentiate it from the other existing Catalan public transport authorities in the Girona, Camp de Tarragona and Lleids areas, which are also identified as ATM. As of January 2015, the ATM-managed public transport system comprises 50 different operating companies and serves 346 municipalities, accounting for a population of over 5.7 million. Created in 1997, the ATM has since developed an Integrated Fare System based on concentric fare zones. There currently exist about 80 different types of multiple-time tickets or unlimited passes for use on the STI, all of which allow free-of-charge interchange between transport modes in a single trip. In 2012, it was announced that the ATM was planning to upgrade the current magnetic stripe-based technology used on the STI to a contactless smart card validation system known as T-mobilitat, reducing all the existing ATM cards to one 
He has worked in operations and technical management, and is now at the Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM). With a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from ETSEIB UPC and additional training in public services, mobility and railway maintenance, he has led ATM’s Infrastructure Management Service since 2017. He oversees tramway concession contracts and network expansion projects. ATM coordinates and finances public transport, defines mobility plans and manages the integrated fare system, also handling planning and management of Barcelona’s unified tram network 

Tranvía de Parla Miguel Fernández Valiño 

With more than 20 years of experience in the railway sector, he has developed his professional career in multinational companies such as Knorr-Bremse, where he was part of the Sales Department, and Bombardier, where he held different positions both at national level, as Director of High-Speed Train Maintenance Projects, and at international level, as Project Management Expert and Coach. 
 
He was Managing Director of Transportes Ferroviarios de Madrid and Managing Director of Metro Barajas. 
 
He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of ATUC (Association of Urban and Metropolitan Public Transport), member of the Borad of Directors in ALAMYS and member of the Technical Board in Metro de Lima Line 2-4. 
 
Miguel is Industrial Engineer from the Technical University of Madrid and holds an Executive MBA from IESE.
