Global Light Rail Awards 2023  Wednesday 4 October

We had a fantastic night recognising excellence and innovation in the global light and urban rail sector and celebrating with guests and finalists across the world...
The ONLY awards dedicated to recognising achievement, innovation and excellence across the light rail and urban transit sector was held on 4th October 2023 and was, as ever, a glamorous evening where we played host to some of the brightest and best across the LRT world.
We saw over 150 entries from 12 countries submitted to be considered for our awards and, as our judges commented again this year, 'you do not make it any easier'.
The entries this year were of an extremely high calibre and choosing those to be shortlisted was no easy task.
The awards ceremony itself was held at the HAC in London and hosted by renowned broadcaster, journalist and light rail enthusiast Nicholas Owen. Over 250 guests and dignataries from across the light rail world gathered to pay tribute to those companies and individuals whose dedication and innovation shone through.
Over 17 categories, our winners and highly commended entries were called to the stage to recieve their awards which are an established mark of excellence across the sector.
You can see our final Honour Roll here and congratulations to all of our finalists!

For 2022, the expert judging panel deliberated over almost 100 entries across 17 categories, noting that “this is yet another tough year to select the winners from so many excellent entries. There is so much sparkle between them and so many interesting and innovative things here for us all to take away; it really is inspiring.”
