The Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) 504A King streetcar reumed service in early May.

Since January 2021, buses had replaced the 504 service which runs between Dundas West Station and Dufferin Street. as major city works on water mains and sewers in the area, as well as replacing track, extending a dedicated street right-of-way and enhancing safety systems for pedestrians and cyclists.

Toronto's Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie said, 'I'm glad to see TCC streetcar service returning to King and Roncesvalles after this major and much-needed work. Thid is another example of the work underway to build up our city and make significant investments in infrastructure.'

TTC Chair Jon Burnside said, 'We know that service distruptions can be frustrating for our customers, and I'm pleased we're able to resume streetcar service. Thank you to the team that went above and beyond to get this done.'
