The MCD-1 and MCD-2 have connected more than 40 Moscow districts and several cities in the Moscow region. The train fleet was completely renewed on the diameters.
Every day passengers make up to 620 thousand trips on the 1st and 2nd diameters. Over 3 years the number of trips within the city has almost doubled. More and more people switch to the MCD from private cars, surface public transport and metro.

This year the overground metro network will be expanded with new lines: the MCD-3 will connect Zelenograd and Ramenskoye and the MCD-4 – Aprelevka and Zheleznodorozhny. Millions residents of the capital and the Moscow region will be able to build new routes and save on trips with favorable fares and free interchanges to the metro and the MCC, – noted Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport.

When the MCD-3 is launched, 4 stations will receive passengers on temporary wooden infrastructure: Khimki, Molzhaninovo, Podrezkovo, Firsanovskaya.

These stations will be equipped with everything necessary to accept MCD tickets and pay with Troika cards. In the future, instead of these stations, suburban stations with elevators and escalators will be built, railway crossings will be renovated to make them safer and more convenient.

In the future, it is planned to renovate all stations of the Leningrad direction, particularly in order to operate high-speed trains.
