Midlands Metro celebrates latest CBSO season

Midland Metro has celebrated the launch of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) newest season by running an all over themed tram.  

 

As well as acting as the launch of the 2023-2024 season, the tram also commemorated Kazuki Yamada's first concert at Symphony Hall as Chief Conductor. Its appearance also marked the final concert for 24-year veteran CEO Stephen Maddock. He is moving on to the Birmingham Conservatoire. 

 

The tram runs past Symphony Hall on Broad Street, Birmingham and this view depicts another CBSO veteran, Principal Cellist Eduardo Vassallo. He is one of the four CBSO musicians who are pictured on the side of the tram.
