New Moskva-2020 Metro trains to appear

Moscow Metro continues to replace its fleet with the inclusion of 48 more Moskva-2020 trains in addition to the 154 already in service. 

 

The replacement cars are headed for Line 6, which is one of its most used lines. The fleet renewal has been in action since 2018 and so far about 80% of the fleet has been replaced with modern version such as Oka, Moskva and Moskva 2020. These new vehicles are equipped with wider doors, air disinfection and information screens. 

 

In the next year, the network plans to launch Moskva-2020 trains on Line 2, one of the oldest lines on the network to boost passenger capacity, comfort and experience. 

 

Since 2010, more than 4,000 modern Russian cars have been purchased for the metro.
