Delgates gathered from across the LRT and light rail industry to discuss, debate and share their views and expertise on the role of technology in the development of sustainable urban travel.

Hosted and supported by Metro de Sevilla and Globalvia, this two- day congress offered delegates the chance to explore the topics and issues central to the role of LRT within the urban transit industry.

With presentations ranging from how to elevate passenger experience, to driverless tram operation to creating system resiliency, the Congress offered plenty of scope for its participants to explore the current situation of the sector and the trends to watch in the future.

As well as this, industry experts and professionals also joined in panel debates which allowed for further discussion and debate around the topics of how to drive innovation within rolling stock as well as how to speed up light rail adoption in an era of net-zero.

A full report on the Congress, including more details regarding its speakers, presentations and debates will be available in May's edition of Tramways & Urban Transit. You can pre-order your copy here .
