The Czech company has responded to its success in international markets by undertaking a strategic re-organisation of its top management and organisational structure to optimise performance and adapt to evolving markets. 
 
The new Chief Executive Officer is Petr Novotny, while Didier Pfleger, previously CEO, has been appointed to the position of Executive Chairman. Novotny is responsible for the operation of all group divisions and production sites as well as for strategic implementation of all group activities. Zdenek Sváta will be Chief Operating Officer. Skoda is re-organising its business regions from four to two: Tomás Ignacák will lead Region CZ/SK & Central East, while Jan. C. Harder will lead Region West & North. 
 
Skoda Group produces a range of rail rolling stock, including low-floor trams, trolleybuses, electric buses, metro sets, suburban trains and electric locomotives from factories in the Czech Republic and Finland. 
 
They recently enjoyed success at the Global Light Rail Awards 2023 winning the Technical Innovation of the Year for Rolling Stock and Rising Star categories as well as being Highly Commended in the Manufactuer of the Year category against stiff competition.
