Skoda wins Prague tram order

A framework contract for up to 200 trams (initial firm order 40) for the Czech capital will be signed with Skoda Transportation. 

 

The total price for 200 trams was CZK 16.6bn; the first 40 trams will be delivered in 2025-2026. 

 

Other bids came from Stadler and PESA, however PESA's participation expired after missing the deadline for final tenders. 

 

The Stadler price/ tram was CZK 88.2M compared with CZK 82.5M from Skoda. There is a 15-day period for any appeal. Skoda has previously delivered 250 15T ForCity trams to Prague in 2009-2018.
