With the MCD-4 launch, trains will run in mixed mode on the Aprelevka-Zheleznodorozhnaya section. These are diametric modern EP2Ds, as well as the usual white-gray and red-gray ED4Ms. They will run on the routes of the outer suburbs, as well as enter the diameter line - their routes have been extended to ensure minimum traffic interval during rush hours.

"The rolling stock of the first two diameters was renewed in the first year of operation. Now it is one of the youngest fleets in Europe. Passengers are transported by modern EP2Ds, Ivolga and Aeroexpress trains. They are equipped with everything necessary for comfortable journeys around the city. On the instructions of the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we are gradually updating a rolling stock on the future diameters too. This process requires time. But we plan to replace the trains as quickly as we can, so that travel on the new MCD lines will become even more comfortable and will meet the high standards of the Moscow Transport" – said Maksim Liksutov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for transport.
